There was a boy by the name of Santiago. He was a shepherd who sold his flock and travel distances in order to follow his dreams. He had not a cent in his pocket, but he had faith. One day he came across a crystal merchant, a devoted muslim whos obligation would be pilgrimage to the holy sites in the city of Mecca. When he was young he worked hard selling crystals and thought that someday he will be rich enough to visit Mecca. When he is finally rich enough to do so, he remains at the crystal shop looking at other pilgrims heading towards Mecca. The boy didn't understand why the merchant no longer want to go to Mecca now.

"Because it's the thought of Mecca that keeps me alive. That's what helps me face these days that are all the same, these mute crystals on the shelves, and lunch and dinner at that same horrible cafe. I'm afraid that if my dreams is realized, I'll have no reason to go on living."
"I just want to dream about Mecca. I've already imagined a thousand times crossing the desert, arriving at the Plaza of the Sacred Stone, the seven times I walk around it before allowing myself to touch it. I've imagined the people who would be at my side, and those in front of me, and the conversations and prayers we would share. But I'm afraid that it would all be a disappointment, so i prefer just to dream about it."
-The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho

The merchant felt that having a dream was more important than fulfilling it, while Santiago was trying to fulfill his.

I am feeling somewhat like the merchant.

everyone of us have dreams...how we chase it is the more important part...like thinking and doing it is totally two different thing

i started my own business late last year and it was a dream of mine finally come true...initially it was rather successful...but lately this dream of mine became a nightmare..i m on the verge of crumpling down...now i dunno whether i will be sued...

dreams are always beautiful till reality sets in...a price to pay for...

dunno if i will end my dreams in jail...haiz

i used to be very confident in the things i do...especially in army and business...if u really noe who i m...u shld understand

this failure had been a rather big blow to me and i m currently trying my best to stand on my feet again...current developments had been filled with ups and downs...

it is beyond my means of engaging a contractual lawyer...thus resulting me in going to Marine Parade CC for the free legal aid...but damnz it...that lady only deals with domestic cases like divorce

had been under intense pressure to sign an IOU today against my will as i was under the threat of going behind bars seriously...legal matters are that grave when one is literally talking to someone else who knows every single bit of law

although i am currently in this harsh position... nevertheless, i hope on the other side, u are doing well...................

I've a friend who's a law student in Singapore, not too sure if she will be able to help you. I myself know nothing about law at all (^_^;)

It totally sucked when you end up with legal matters... But often than not, realizing a dream isn't something very easy. Sometimes, the reality of this "dream" can be very very frightening.

Studying in France was my dream, and when I first step foot in France, I was very excited. However when reality sets in, you will be able to sense the hell you are in. How no one can really understand you, and you can't understand anyone... Got into some sh** with my first apartment...etc.

But we must still fight on! Never give up, no matter how difficult it may be. To let go of something is too easy, but to hold on, that's the challenge.
